The manufacturer, AutoPilot, has discontinued production of the DIG-220 power supply. The official designated replacement is the AutoPilot Pool Pilot Evolve.
1. Compatibility & Upgrade Options
The Pool Pilot Evolve is designed to work seamlessly with the salt cells, flow sensors, plumbing manifold and cables previously used with the DIG-220. Depending on your needs, we offer two ways to upgrade:

Evolve Controller/Power Center: Perfect if your existing cell and plumbing manifold are still in good condition.

Complete Evolve System Package: Includes the Evolve controller, salt cell, tri-sensor and the complete bypass manifold assembly for a fresh installation.
2. Important Note on Pump Control
The DIG-220 featured an optional internal pump relay that some owners used as a timer. It is important to note:

If you DID NOT use your DIG-220 to control your pump: The transition to the Evolve will be straightforward, as your pump's power source is independent.

If you DID use your DIG-220 as a pump timer: The new Pool Pilot Evolve does not include an internal pump relay. Modern federal energy guidelines have shifted the industry toward Variable Speed (VS) Pumps, which are designed to be wired directly to power and managed by their own internal digital timers.

Solution for Single-Speed Pumps: If you still require an external timer for a single-speed pump, we recommend a dedicated time clock such as the Intermatic T103 (110V) or Intermatic T104 (220V).
3. New Feature: Optional WiFi Control
Unlike the legacy DIG-220, the Pool Pilot Evolve is built for the modern backyard. It features an optional WiFi add-on that allows you to monitor and control your salt chlorine production directly from your smartphone, providing a level of convenience not available on previous generations.
